6/6

The Nicholaikirche Kirche (church) with construction starting in 1220 was interesting because from the exterior you could see the periods of which it was built.  Three distinct time frames.  It is quite interesting that the stone work tells (some of) the story of the building itself.  Unfortunately, the interior had been turned into a museum and had been painted, quite the travesty.

This Franciscan Cloister Church on the other hand was much more exciting even though it was naught but ruins.  The truth did not escape it, something that I like in my architecture and history.

The Marienkirche, once again a lie.

St. Hedwig's Cathedral in Babelplatz was a fantastic church in the round built 1773 next to Humbolt Uni. This shot was taken from below, through a glass railing towards the organ.  It was a place for awe.

Outside Friedrichswerdersche Kirche by Schinkel
Exposed piping can be pretty too!
